Dit roer my hartsnare…

Op die tv program, Varsity Sing, hoor ek die inspirerende hartstorie wat die dirigent (Michael Barrett) van Tukkies se koor vertel oor die koorstuk wat hulle gekies het om te sing. I believe in the sun is gedurende die Tweede Wêreldoorlog deur ‘n Joodse gevangene teen ‘n muur geskryf terwyl hy in die Cologne konsentrasiekamp was.

even when He is silent.

Hierdie is die woorde waaruit die koorstuk bestaan. En dan gaan die res van die gedig so:
